The Importance of the Purple Circle

Anna was a young girl who loved to draw circles. She drew them everywhere: on her notebooks, on her walls, on her clothes. She liked how circles had no beginning or end, and how they represented wholeness, eternity, and the cycle of life. She also loved the color purple, because it was a combination of red and blue, and it had many meanings depending on the context and culture. She thought purple was a color of wisdom, creativity, royalty, power, ambition, and luxury. She also liked how purple signified magic, mystery, spirituality, peace, pride, and wealth.

Anna had a grandfather who was a war veteran. He had received a purple heart for being wounded in action. He also had an oak leaf cluster for receiving more than one purple heart. He told Anna stories about his time in the army, and how he fought for his country and his cause. He also told her about the importance of being connected with others, and how having supportive relationships can boost one’s mood, reduce one’s stress, improve one’s self-esteem, and enhance one’s resilience. He said that connection can be achieved through various ways, such as having heart-to-heart conversations, giving and receiving support, sharing positive vibes and laughter, opening up to others and being vulnerable, smiling and having a positive attitude, and staying in touch with people who matter.

One day, Anna decided to make a special gift for her grandfather. She took a piece of paper and drew a big purple circle on it. She then wrote inside the circle: “To Grandpa, thank you for your sacrifice, courage, and honor. You are my hero and my inspiration. I love you.” She then folded the paper into a heart shape and put it in an envelope. She also drew a small purple circle on the envelope and wrote: “The Importance of the Purple Circle”.

She gave the envelope to her grandfather and asked him to open it. He smiled and opened the envelope. He saw the purple circle on the paper and read the message inside. He felt a surge of emotion and hugged Anna tightly. He thanked her for her gift and told her how much he appreciated it. He also told her that he was proud of her and that he loved her too.

He then asked her what the purple circle meant. Anna explained that it was a symbol of their connection and their bond. She said that the circle represented their wholeness, eternity, and the cycle of life. She said that the color purple represented their wisdom, creativity, royalty, power, ambition, and luxury. She also said that the purple heart represented his sacrifice, courage, and honor. She said that the oak leaf cluster represented his resilience and his strength. She said that the heart shape represented their love and their gratitude.

She then pointed to the envelope and said: “This is the title of our story: The Importance of the Purple Circle”. She said that it was a story about how they were connected by their circles, their colors, their hearts, their leaves, and their love.

She asked him if he liked their story. He nodded and smiled. He said that he loved their story. He said that it was the best story he had ever heard.

He then kissed her on the forehead and said: “You are my purple circle”.
