NFT Game Strikes Animated Movie Deal

The announcement came yesterday that the free-to-play, play-to-earn game Petwars has struck a deal to make a 90 minute R rated movie. After teasing a clip of the hit film Sausage Party, an 89 minute animated film from 2016, the founder announced the film using the message below.

I am excited to announce that PetWars has been greenlighted for a 90 minute R Rated Animation Film with distribution deals for major platforms. \n

Work is now underway on script development, story boarding and character building. Animation studios are also onboard and on standby.

Please Note: 

Making a feature length animated movie is no easy task and aside from the budget being in excess of $2 million this is not a 1 month process.

Therefore it will be not availible in time of launch HOWEVER when we launch in December there will be no doubts in anyones that this is 100% real as we would have already shared many steps of the processes from behind the scenes.

The movie announcement came as the PetWars team began marketing for its December 11 Ethereum token launch. With a background film, it only seems natural the founder decided to move forward with a movie about the P2E game.

In other news, Dumb Money, starring the Sausage Party actors Seth Rogan and Paul Dano, is filming in North Jersey this week. Dumb Money is said to be about the Reddit community that skyrocketed the GameStop price.

It is interesting to see a P2E crypto game announce a movie as a movie is being filmed about the effect of mass “amateur” investment in Gamestop stock. The Gamestop stunt had a cultural effect during the early 2021 crypto bullrun. The people made their statement against traditional finance. It will also be interesting to see if and how market conditions, a reinvigorated WallStreetBets feel, and a movie about a NFT game will pair in 2023.
