I want to share what&rsquo;s happening in Senior Citizenville, where I live, South Florida. This is the time of year when snowbirds, part-time residents, flock to the area. Snowbirds are senior citizens from the north, New York, New Jersey, Canada, etc. Their families come down for the holidays and beach weather. A joyous season.
&nbsp;
Behind the scenes, Senior Citizenville is big business. Housing for senior citizens alone can be more than they can afford but a necessary expenditure. There are 55+ communities where senior citizens may get a break on costs but then added H.O.A. fees and other costs that fluctuate are an issue. 
My mother recently entered an assisted living residence. As a family member, it was an experience seeing the business side of residing in this type of residence.

Blockchain can fix the hidden high costs and much more in Senior Citizenville. The cost of living and the rising amount of senior citizens needing healthcare will only grow in time. It is reported that 1 in 5 adults will be 65 or older by the year 2030{Consensus Bureau2024}.

Blockchain fixes many things in everyday business. It can be considered the fix to what is coming, what is inevitable, the exponential explosion of senior citizen population and the crisis of the healthcare industry that may follow.

&nbsp;When I started Onboard60, it was to learn how to put senior citizen documents on chain, before it was a reality. Today we can do just that. There are medical record companies, real estate companies, hospitals, doctors and insurance companies that use blockchain technology.

Diving deep down into different rabbit holes the past few years has prepared me for the questions and puzzled looks. I recently started working with a few people one on one easing them through their &ldquo;doing it scared&rdquo; phase, letting them know most days, I&rsquo;m still winging it doing it scared. 
We talk of the initial language barrier to the web3 space, the feelings of being overwhelmed and being open to asking questions. I let them know it&rsquo;s their journey and it&rsquo;s done on their time, no one else, as people have said to me, we are early.
&nbsp;The technology that will increase the quality of care for senior citizens has just begun. Now is the time to learn, become aware and get on board.

I haven&rsquo;t touched upon the wearable technology that can better the quality of a senior citizen&rsquo;s life, any age for that matter. This technology can not only create a sense of assurance for the family member or loved one but keeps the senior citizen safe in real time. 
I have been using different wearable technology and repurposing them for my needs as a senior citizen. I have a ring that is for my vitals. It monitors my sleep, activity and stress level, heart rate and blood pressure. I believe this technology can be connected to a contact that can act on the wearers behalf if a medical emergency arises.
Motion sensors for senior citizens prone to falls.
There are geolocation RFID chips that can be used for Alzheimer patients. The near field communication chip I wear in a bracelet can have medical, emergency contact for people to tag with their phone. I use it for my resume and links. &nbsp;

I have been interviewing others and been interviewed many times in the past few years. Inevitably, as the interviewer, I research the person I am interviewing and learn as much as I can so I can tailor the questions to engage and connect with the person. I want to get to know the person, not just the career, the persona for business, the A.I. headshot.&nbsp;
I always send the questions out 48 hours in advance so they may edit, mark through or add any additional questions or subjects they wish to discuss. It also is a way for me to see if I am on the right path with connecting and getting the person comfortable for the discussion style interview.
I am being interviewed on a podcast next week and was sent the questions in advance. I decided to consider them and I then sat down and answered them. This is that. I wasn&rsquo;t sure if it would be something I would publish but I haven&rsquo;t shied away from showing all of myself yet.&nbsp;

What inspired you&nbsp; to create Onboard60, what was the initial vision behind it?
&nbsp;
I was inspired to create Onboard60 on a whim really. I had this idea from watching artists on TikTok talk about NFTs and smart contracts. I thought smart contracts would be a way to help keep senior citizens safe, documents on chain, contracts with no hidden fees, no hikes in percentage rates, healthcare and hospital fees,&nbsp; insurance rates , and more , put on&nbsp; smart contracts. I was doing my grocery shopping in Publix, a Sunday, South Florida, where all the senior citizens live and are at Publix on Sundays. I was looking at everyone who passed and thought they need to know this stuff. I got to tell them about this.&nbsp;
I came home and made a TikTok saying senior citizens could benefit from knowing about smart contracts but using them differently from the art videos I was seeing. At the time, no one was thinking on chain documents for senior citizens. It was unheard of, not created yet. I had people encouraging me to share what I was learning.
I started to share on TikTok my curriculum I had made for myself and was asked to volunteer at an event in Miami the first weekend of April 2022. I said sure, I can carry water, get someone&rsquo;s lunch. They asked me to send them an outline of what Onboard60 was, I had been saying I am 60 and we need to onboard 60 year olds and older people.
I have a master&rsquo;s degree, I can write an executive summary, so I wrote a dream, pie in the sky idea, emailed it to those who asked me to volunteer, and insanely, I have completed almost half of the written plan with the vision and mission staying consistent throughout. It&rsquo;s October 31, 2024 now. Two and a half years later.&nbsp;
Some speaker did a no-show, where I was volunteering that time, assisting the moderator, at NFTCON MIAMI, and I was thrown on stage to introduce Onboard60. I spoke for 10 minutes, it was recorded and I haven&rsquo;t looked back.&nbsp;
The vision is to create a safe space to provide education and multiple services to senior citizens to encourage a better quality of life staying up to date with new technologies and business practices so they can be in control of their finances, healthcare and be engaged with family, colleagues, and friends today and tomorrow.

How does Onboard60 differentiate itself from other platforms in the Web3 space?&nbsp;
I see you. I want to bring out the best of you with my background in counseling, and reality based, no nonsense authenticity. It&rsquo;s just me. I like to connect and empower people so they can succeed in the space, not&nbsp; build a community of people who stay on a never ending&nbsp; carousel but who&nbsp; grow and&nbsp; thrive out in the Web3 community.
I have&nbsp; How To eBooks ( How to succeed on Social Media, How to connect &amp; network, Web3 1101), I take people one on one in Spatial to learn how to be in the metaverse simply on your PC and connect with the grandkids. I have one on one sessions with people to connect them with the right people, discussing different Web3 related topics, some senior citizen specific, or share the best online studyor, along with&nbsp; personal confidential counseling as that is my background prior to Web3.
I saw the need to help people through the pivot, the stress of feeling overwhelmed, that pesky imposter syndrome. I offer support and connectivity so people can thrive. I see you, you are not alone. I&nbsp; share my experiences, joys, stuck points and accomplishments openly as learning experiences for myself and others.

Can you describe your journey into the world of blockchain technology? What sparked your interest?
I was and still am a waitress. In 2016, some fellow servers, young 20 something men, were talking Bitcoin and Robin Hood. I heard some of it but knew it was something to get, they were so excited and hyped over it.&nbsp; I went home and bought 3 whole Bitcoin for $600 each. Remember, I&rsquo;m in my late fifties at the time, knew nothing of Bitcoin except what I saw on the news. Yes, saw a story of scandal and black market, sold all three Bitcoin and thought I saved myself from a scam.
Almost a year later a friend gave me The Book of Satoshi, I read it and learned all about blockchain, how it worked and the difference of Bitcoin and bitcoin. I thought that was a nice story of something I&rsquo;m glad I got away when I did, put the book in a drawer and forgot about it.&nbsp;
August 2021, I join Tiktok and hear a way to get money directly to those that need it, Bitcoin, cryptocurrency. I saw a way to help people I work with and maybe help myself too.&nbsp;

What challenges did you face when starting Onboard60, and how did you overcome them?
&nbsp;
&nbsp;I had a compulsion, a desire, a fire I couldn&rsquo;t extinguish. I also was reluctant to say the least. I wasn&rsquo;t thinking about creating Onboard60, much less the multi phased project it became with the full-time content creation that came with it. I wrote the executive summary not thinking twice about it becoming a reality, it was a nice idea.&nbsp;
However, I couldn&rsquo;t stop thinking back on that Sunday in Publix thinking, feeling compelled really to tell everyone about what I was learning. I reluctantly day by day built, created Onboard60, doing it scared every step of the way.&nbsp;
I overcame the challenges of myself, my reluctant mindset by taking action, doing it scared, learning by experience and not stopping. I still am winging it most days.&nbsp;

Can you share a pivotal moment in your&nbsp; career that significantly influenced your path in technology?
&nbsp;
I thought that learning blockchain basics and some of the technology behind crypto would land me a job but nope. I don&rsquo;t know if I am in technology. I do these solo learn lessons of basic coding on my phone, I&rsquo;m not sure if I&rsquo;m learning. I sit in these Discord office hours of this protocol twice a week over the last few months and I am just starting to understand the Klingon they speak, sometimes. I know more than I think I know. I get validated when I&rsquo;m sitting in my SheFi classes, and we&nbsp; have some very knowledgeable women who I am grateful for.&nbsp;
Full transparency? It was just two years ago a young woman sat with me for about an hour or two and teaching me, watching me, having me practice copy and paste. I did my master&rsquo;s program with basic computer skills and never learned copy and paste. I have some vast knowledge in some areas and basic to remedial in other areas.&nbsp;

How do you see Onboard60 impacting the broader adoption of blockchain technology among users who may not be tech-savvy?
&nbsp;
&nbsp;I do think there will come a time that all the nuts and bolts we are learning, the processes, the multi step / seedphrase/ key system will be under the hood so to speak. We already have large financial institutions like Visa, Mastercard that accept crypto and the person can be using their familiar currency unknowingly being swapped behind the scenes. We have GrayScale with over 40 crypto products in their investment portfolios. I can mention Fidelity using The Graph Network for its blockchain QL data systems.&nbsp;
The healthcare system is using A. I. tools for its systems. The idea of preventative, analytical medicine through technology is already upon us. The educational system using digital learning and customized digital learning is here.
&nbsp;I see Onboard60&rsquo;s role as a space&nbsp; to keep people informed so they can make the best decisions to stay safe in the ever changing times, technologically, financially, and especially&nbsp; for the next generation.

Coming into my own, realizing I am a senior citizen, and I need to know this stuff to stay current and ahead of the curve.&nbsp;
 
Can I share a success story of someone who has benefited from using Onboard60?
&nbsp;
I was doing an online studyor on Geneva twice a week live with 35 members. One man got light bulbs and whistles when we discussed investments and cryptocurrencies. We had a workshop on Twitter and how to get noticed ( back then ya DM a CEO or some founder, they answered, no brush offs) We discussed a project called drip haus and the rest is he is successfully part of their community. He has since gone on to be active on Twitter and multiple communities, creating art, NFTs and life long friendships while helping multiple projects.
 
Looking ahead, what developments in Web3 are I most excited about and why?

I&rsquo;m looking forward to getting more of my Art out there and active in the Hug Community more, get connected with more SheFiers and of course Art Basel.&nbsp;
It would be nice to get a few more individual clients. I only take a few at a time and right now I have 2 IRL and 1 online, looking for a few more.&nbsp;

Being interviewed can be stressful, even for someone who interviews others regularly. Yes, I am being interviewed next month and even with the questions, I was stressed.

I Am Being Interviewed

I have a lot of alone time the past day or so, hurricane coming through. My thoughts go to, &ldquo;are we really advancing our ways exponentially? Are we really catapulting into the future of the world?&rdquo; I am on my computer, typing as I would in the 1980s. Smaller computer, faster but I am typing.&nbsp;
 There are voice apps to use, A.I. assistants, but I am still putting a message out in similar ways as all days before. You are reading or listening to this submission/ blog/post/article/tweet from wherever you are on whatever type of device you use. There are the few who are running the show, whether you are in what&rsquo;s considered Web 2 or Web 3. Business is business, profits are money and money is power. It does not make a difference, in my opinion.
Yes, using a DAO structure is different than traditional business, however, a friend mentioned in conversation that it&rsquo;s still people. It&rsquo;s the people and their actions, values and principles that make the difference.
I see most people today attempt their traditional beliefs and practices in a non-traditional space building a non-traditional business. And it&rsquo;s their own business!! My dives down a plethora of rabbit holes has allowed me the advantage of observing the best adapters to creating/recreating their business in non-traditional manners and the worst.&nbsp;
 I am guilty of using old fashioned techniques. I am guilty of going too far with the non-traditional practices in creating Onboard60. Finding a happy medium is the key.
 As someone said, and I now say, I am an early adopter in some areas, learning experientially. My exuberance, fear of missing out, being left behind and curiosity for learning and shiny new things, I embarked on a trip around the social media platforms, protocols and networks that were building their place in Web3.&nbsp;
 I say building because if you have been around this crazy space of what people call Web 3 you know people come and go, projects come and go, bad actors are found out, scammers revealed, we get rugged, scammed, and maybe, just maybe, find those genuine misfit toys that we fit perfectly with, the authentic souls, wanting to make a difference in someone else&rsquo;s life, not necessarily filling their own pockets.
 My journey has led me from one side of the pendulum to the other and now, I am somewhere swinging in between. The motion is not as extreme, and I can relate it to a gentle rocking of sleeping on a sailboat under the stars. I experienced that once, always remember the feeling.&nbsp;
 No longer pin balling from one network, protocol or social media platform, I am settling down on ones that I have found true genuine connections with people. It&rsquo;s not necessarily Web3 or a decentralized media but more of a balance, a mix.&nbsp;
 Earlier I said happy medium. At one point I had an anxiety producing, stressful to me, large social media account with 28 thousand followers. I got to where I did not know if I could post one more video.&nbsp; I made the mistake and revolved around the media platform and the content I created to get results for what I was attempting to accomplish. It affected me mentally and emotionally. Burn out and breakdowns.
I deleted the account and started a smaller 30+ follower account. My anxiety dissipated; I connected on a more genuine level with people around me. Rather than having a platform control me, I took back control.
Nowadays, I am focusing on establishing Onboard60 in traditional and nontraditional media with conscious techniques of posting. This calls for a lot of self-discipline on my part. I enjoy the nightly scroll, lol.
 Outside I can hear the wind gusts wrestle the palm trees. I went to the canal behind my apartment this afternoon during the dead calm moments. The moments the sun is out, it is still and trees unmoving, before the hurricane and dark clouds coming around pelt you with rain from the outer bands circle back.
The water was unusually high due to all the rains. Living on the Atlantic side, 30 minutes north of Miami on the coast in Boca Raton, I feel safe.
 The only concern is the flooding, the water. The debris and projectiles, cars floating away, and the alligators, and occasional manatees coming inland to the canals and waterways. It happens.
 &nbsp;I was informed that I have a well-rounded set of skills. I have been running as fast as I can for so long, I forgot to assess what I do have to offer. I have been self-criticizing what I haven&rsquo;t done and what I am deficient in and not focusing on what I have. I have a newly formed look on how I am going to grow Onboard60. The vision and mission constant, the foundation solid, it is time to become a community with all the bells and whistles.&nbsp;
 I can admit there were times my lack of skills could have been attributed to my fabulous professional skill of procrastination combined with fears of many that turned out to be illusions. For someone who is so fearful, I have acted on so many things and as I type, there are 90 plus people who get this!!!!!When people say, it is all in your head, believe them. I have completed, continued and challenged myself along the way doing it scared.
 Now is the time for this blog/article where I talk about what I am doing and entice you to click on a link to buy something. Yes, I will, but first, let me tell you why.
 I learned how to make NFTs in December of 2021/January2022. Purposefully to use cryptocurrency to get money directly to those that need it in my area. I work as a server in the hospitality industry in South Florida. Covid hit us hard, hurricanes, and the hospitality industry itself has never made a comeback.
 Each year the management asks for everyone to pitch in, donate to give money to the back of the house, dishwashers, salad preps, etc. I live in a seasonal town and our business has been dead calm. The people who are asked to pitch in, donate are hurting just as much as who they want to give to.
 My idea. Raise $1000 by Christmas. &nbsp;I am posting my A.I. art pieces on Magic Eden (working on it, up by October 16th). I am doing a virtual live auction in the metaverse at the end of October and again at the end of November with of course me screaming about it every chance I get.&nbsp;
 I also post on Orb (App Store) where people can mint (buy) the post directly from the post, art, NFT, music. The sale/profits of any pieces will be collected and swapped for USD and distributed to my coworkers. I am posting one A.I. art piece a week until Christmas on Orb, a platform that cross posts to a few other ones. I am actively updating my Zora collection, and some pieces are available right now.
 Initially this was my first project, an idea, what kept me on TikTok. It&rsquo;s been a long road to get back here to the beginning which is nothing like the first beginning. It&rsquo;s time to get money to those who need it.
 I will keep you informed and send blogs with links to art over the next few weeks and invite you to go to the App Store to download Orb or peruse Zora. For now, I am preparing to go to my birthday hurricane party.

Writing This During Hurricane Milton (right now!!)

I&rsquo;ve been scammed, duped, fleeced so many times, I&rsquo;ve lost count. This last time was masterfully done. I fell for it hook, line, and sinker. They stroked my ego just right, said all the right things to impress me and I did not research their medias before I leaped.
What happened? It&rsquo;s somewhat embarrassing to admit. I fell for a polished, put together pair of gentlemen who supposedly have a successful "Web3" (marketing) agency we will call The Agency.
I have no excuse. I went to a chance LinkedIn LIVE session where these two gentlemen represented as co-founders of The Agency. Their profile was legit, although some of the things they were discussing were outdated, I decided to stay and listen.
My mistake was not looking further into their LinkedIn account and other media. I did not do my own research. My ego took the lead.
If I had done my research, I would have found a dormant TikTok account with videos of a year older or more, few posts on LinkedIn and a slew of advertising type of tweets on Twitter(X).
Instead&hellip;.. 
As they were speaking, they also looked at my LinkedIn profile and that&rsquo;s when I got big-headed. One of the gentlemen stated he was impressed with my profile and what I am doing. He went on to say they were very interested in Real World Use Cases with Blockchain as that is my focus at this time.&nbsp; 
He continued to stroke my ego and state &ldquo;it would be an honor&rdquo; to have me join their Network Hub, a group of CEOs, Founders and entrepreneurs networking helping each other succeed. I did not go to their Network Hub fast enough. I joined. I also joined their Telegram and followed them on Twitter(X).&nbsp;
It was only after that, I started doing some research into their media and what they put out to the world. I was getting bombarded with the &ldquo;Welcome to the Network Hub Community&rdquo; e-mails and bot Dms on Twitter(X) immediately. I still was on the hook, still wanting to make a name for Onboard60. I filled out a profile and went to Telegram for a Friday weekly noon &ldquo;scheduled group chat&rdquo;.
Surprise.
&nbsp;It was only one of the co-founders and me. I should have suspected something but&hellip;. 
My ego still reeling and feeling full of myself, I wanted to have his attention. It was clear to me during this 30-minute conversation that the gentleman has no experience in Web3 or knows what is available. I asked about the metaverse, and his answer was he has been to a metaverse, and it was fun.
I dropped Oncyber, Agora, Engage and Frame VR. These are known metaverse sites businesses and universities use today. He had not heard of them. I stated over a year ago I used Oncyber as a virtual business card. 
By the end of the conversation, I knew, he had no clue. I told him about Entre as the Web3 LinkedIn of today for tech companies and companies like The Agency.
After the call is when I decided to unfollow and mark this as my ego gone wild. The company itself is a &ldquo;How to do Twitter Spaces and connect&rdquo;. They have generic analytics for anyone who is attempting to succeed in business on Twitter(X) and they have the money to back them.
I share this because a few months ago, I would have been in a ball crying, wanting to give up what I have been creating and building for the past few years. I was disappointed in myself for falling for the ruse. I felt sorry for myself for an hour or two. I then do what I always do. I assessed what I have done, what I could do and made a plan.
I want to be clear. This agency may be revising itself out of the ashes like a phoenix rising. I can say their media was not as active as I would expect for an agency looking for clients. Their aggressive email and bot Dm tactics turned me off. I did message one of the founders on LinkedIn and told him what I thought of their tactics. No response.
It appears that they want to build a community of networking possibilities. They seem to have Twitter Spaces for businesses to get known and gain clientele. They have a blog stating they use analytics to help Twitter growth.

They seem to spend their time acquiring speakers for their spaces as that is where they do the bulk of their agency-Ing to get analytics to be better at spaces to gain potential networking opportunities and customers through spaces. Sadly, for them, I wrote a book on How to Twitter(X) and it may be useful for their clients to read. I did respond to one of their emails saying they could hire me, and I could help them integrate into Web3. No response.&nbsp; 
My last article was on staying safe and not clicking on nefarious links. This time, I wanted to share what could happen to anyone. I am embarrassed and somewhat ashamed, but scams and misrepresentation online have become the norm. 
Businesses, influencers and content creators can show up online however they want, and people believe them. I harp on doing your research. I failed. I allowed my ego to be stroked and was blinded by grandiose opportunity.
As time moves forward and people use A.I. tools for their businesses and to gain clients, it is imperative to research what is authentic and what is fake. The internet is where people are connecting and doing business. Google and Duck Duck Go are good places to start when doing your own research. Peruse their social media accounts!!
Social media is where the research starts. Employers look at social media for potential employees. Why not research potential companies and people you want to follow or connect with. Bob Dylan said &ldquo;times, they are a changing&rdquo;. I say they already have.

Just a quick hello!!

Two months are gone of 2024, how&rsquo;s things? Are you on track with what you planned, any resolutions going fabulously? I admit since starting The Artist&rsquo;s Way in August of 2023, I have been diving deep intrinsically with the help of my fairy godmother. The last few months have been raw and mind blowing at the same time. 
Outwardly, I have published two books, created, and uploaded 2 NFT collections on different sites, corralled my seed phrases and wallets of sorts, and have learned and grown on decentralized social media. 
&nbsp;
Inwardly, I let myself go. I took on excuses and perspectives that weren&rsquo;t useful for me to have. My actions were hindering my forward trajectory, or at least, slowing things down. It seemed that my thoughts were becoming more detrimental to what I wanted to achieve.
&nbsp;
I started a 3 second technique, sometimes closer to 5 seconds, but no more than that. When I had a thought, as in, I need to write my blog, or I need to do my laundry, rather than sit and let my thought float by to become another &ldquo;excuse&rdquo; &ldquo;avoidance&rdquo; type of thought, I get up right away, in the first 3 or 5 seconds. 
This technique has helped me immensely in a lot of areas of my life. Now, this technique is keeping me in the here and now, the present. This allows me to focus on tasks at hand, not magnify what isn&rsquo;t. 
&nbsp;
I have narrowed down my decentralized social media platforms to three and two centralized. The three decentralized platforms cross post so there&rsquo;s that. I share a lot of my art and I am in a fabulous mermaid community. Seems more personalized.
&nbsp;The centralized platforms are where I will focus on sharing Onboard60, what I&rsquo;ve learned and things of that nature.&nbsp; Business oriented I think is what it&rsquo;s called.
&nbsp;
I am looking forward to setting up and connecting my NFTs to my Spatial Gallery. Be on the lookout for invites to the gallery. 
I look forward to being a client, member, of SheFi 10 this coming March. I will be sharing my experiential learnings and frustrations, I&rsquo;m sure. 
I want to focus more on writing and journaling. I need to go through my past journals and see if they are useful to share. Document what&rsquo;s happening, we are making history, I don&rsquo;t doubt that. 
I look forward to sharing what not to do in crypto and how to join and grow on decentralized social media and the difference between centralized and decentralized social media. 
Onboard60 is moving towards having its own website. I will learn how to do that, and you will be the first to see it. Onboard60 will have a presence on Twitter(X) and YouTube with behind the scenes shares on TikTok.

Personally, I am focused on connecting and collaborating with a few people in the coming months. I look forward to the next phase of Onboard60 Gallery. I have submitted my first art piece to an Open Call on The Hug Artist Community site. I will continue to dive deep intrinsically with The Artist&rsquo;s Way, continue to take the actions I am taking, follow my big why; my purpose, while sharing my joys, stuck points, and accomplishments along the way.

I've been focused for close to two years now on wanting senior citizens to get onboard the Web3 train. What is that? It's keeping up to date with technology and pertinent information for senior citizens to stay a part of today's world being active participants in daily life, whereas, staying connected with family and being included in what's happening today.
I have discussed nonfungible tokens, regenerative finance, blockchain technology, smart contracts and so much more. I have been learning and since created a few virtual reality spaces, you know, spatial computing, the metaverse. I have promoted the idea of senior citizen documents on chain to be transparent where everyone sees but can not be altered.
I recently embarked on new technologies for senior citizen healthcare. This article will introduce you to the world of smart wearables and smart home monitoring systems. Both allow senior citizens to have independence longer which in turn gives a better quality of life in the present and the future.
As the population ages, healthcare is looking to provide innovative solutions to aid in the independence and well-being of older adults. The focus is on better quality of life. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotics offer the technologies to address the aging population. I want to dive into how senior citizens can use AI tools in healthcare and how healthcare is using AI tools as a diagnostic method.
Let's look at wearable smart devices such as wristbands or rings. These smart wearables can record heart rate, sleep patterns,stress and anxiety levels. AI can provide real time analysis, detect early warning signs, and provide personal level of care in real time. AI virtual consultations, treatment planning and reccomendations are done without leaving your home. Once considered telemedicine has moved to the virtual space.
&nbsp;Pill boxes that hold medications can remind senior citizens to take their medications, the correct dosage and or record when medicines are not taken.
&nbsp;AI tool algorithyms are useful in so many ways. They can anazlyze large amounts of data from medical images, electronic health records and other sources to learn patterns and make predictions about a senior citizen's health. One example is early detection of heart disease providing earlier treatment and intervention. Being able to analyze behavior patterns and see the state of the heart at the present time with predictive data may one day save your life. Several areas of elderly healthcare can be included to monitor data and understand the progression of many diseases including heart disease, cancer and Alzheimer's.
The global challenge of population aging necessitates urgent and innovative solutions to support older adults independence and better quality of life. AI tools have the potential to improve the health and well-being of senior citizens if implemented. Proactive care is crucial. A virtual assistant can assure appointments are made, medications taken and even order groceries. Considering the limited human resources, virtual assistants can provide opportunities for senior citizens to maintain their independence longer in their own home. there are healthcare companies that use computers, apps or other digital communication to record medical data. As the data is collected, it can be analyzed and used for early intervention and proactive care.
Smart home monitoring systems can integrate with AI tools adapting to a senior citizen's routine. Think voice activated Alexa, assisting in various tasks as turning lights off and on, adjusting room temperature, and ordering groceries. Integrated with smart wearables, these AI tools can detect vital sign abnormalities, alerting family and caregivers in real time. AI technologies have the potential to improve the healthand well-being of senior citizens by providing efficient and personalized monitored care, promoting independent living and reducing health costs. RingConn, a wearable smart ring takes vitals. QuietCare is an AI based monitoring system that uses motion detection to aleet caregivers of any abnormalities in movement or lack thereof or falling accidents. Mobu, an AI virtual assitant, allows users to seek medical advice through a plethora of interfaces. AI powered health monitoring systems can provide an added layer to senior care and promote independent living longer. AI powered health monitoring systems have the potential to revolutionize elderly care by helping senior citizens live independently while receiving the support they need. AI technology can improve health monitoring, promote independent living, provide cognitive assitance and foster social engagement.
&nbsp;AI powered health monitoring systems can detect potential health issues early, allowing for prompt intervention and reducing the risks of adverse events. This can lead to fewer hospitalizations and emergency room visits, which can result in significant cost savings. As the aging population grows, it is crucial to continue exploring the potential of AI to improve the lives of senior citizens. Ask yourself, how old will you be in ten, twenty or thirty years and if you will embrace technology today for a better quality of life tomorrow?
&nbsp;I wear a smart wearable ring. It has my heart rate, stress and anxiety levels, how active I am and my sleep patterns. This information enables me to set up not only a morning routine but a nightly routine, be aware of my stress and anxiety level while in different situations and notify me when I need to get active. It is useful to stay informed of what is happening right now and being developed for the future. I predict that if used correctly, senior citizens can have alonger, healthier life with longer spans of independence. I for one am onboardthe Web3 train for senior citizens to stay active, healthy, and independently part of society. &nbsp;It's been too long. I have neglected my writings. I am soon to be publishing my book of journals of the first year behind the scenes of Onboard60 and Me. I have focused on the Metaverse and more. Please forgive me and read on, it's time to get on the train.
I think the last time I wrote this was the middle of September. Rosh Hashana, Yom Kipper, and my birthday have all passed. I am now officially old, I am 63. It&rsquo;s time to focus.&nbsp;
The news around the world is disturbing. Our government is using arbitrary and capricious excuses to reject Bitcoin ETF applications. They keep pushing the deadline further to the next month, every time the deadline arrives. 
I wonder what&rsquo;s really going on. So much misinformation. The articles and news stories seem to continue to be against cryptocurrency. However, large financial institutions are buying it up and making portfolios for their clients. Grayscale has had a Bitcoin Trust for a while but was denied the conversion into an ETF. It doesn&rsquo;t make sense unless the government wants their percentage, their control of the pie. 
What does make sense is the fear of not being in power, control, fear of where is our salary going to come from. Taxation pays for their salaries. If we are paying people directly and there are no taxes, no third party to take fees, no money funneling into the government, what then? 
I don&rsquo;t believe we are going to get rid of the dollar anytime soon. There have been rumblings of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDC) that governments control. CBDC can be monitored, and tracked. Something people may not realize but so can cryptocurrency. 
Using a KYC from a centralized exchange? That&rsquo;s how the government found stolen cryptocurrency. There have been many people on X formerly known as Twitter and other platforms encouraging others to get their cryptocurrency off centralized exchanges. 
The point is centralization will always be controlled by someone else, not you. You won&rsquo;t have control over your finances. You will be subjected to paying third-party fees, needing approval to make big purchases, and your money being used for banks to make theirs.
The reason the saying &ldquo;cash is king&rdquo; is so popular is that for those who want to use only cash, there are no records, no paper trail, no taxes, and no fees. Total control over their money by keeping it under the mattress. No government in their business is what they say. 
I have a customer who comes into the restaurant where I work like clockwork. He makes a large $300 to-go order, and leaves whoever serves him $100. He pays cash. We are a cashless restaurant. We don&rsquo;t accept cash, but his cash is king. The manager will allow people to pay with cash but rarely. He is one of the exceptions. 
Covid accelerated digital types of transactions. At our restaurant, we have a QR code people can use to pay with. The misnomer that handling cash was a risk to your health made this possible. Yes, cash is dirty, being passed around who knows where, but from what I understand there is more cocaine residue on bills than covid germs. At least that was going around for years. 
Digital communications and digital finance practices have been around for many years. They were magnified over the past three. The people in power have taken this opportunity to rewrite regulations and create new ones. 
Transparency is not a skill the government practices. Decentralization is transparent and not controlled by one organization or a few powerful people. Decentralization takes the delegation of power from a central authority like the government and disperses it out to many entities. Decentralization empowers multiple participants to manage a network, a business, even a government.
It's more of a bottom-up approach to running an organization where authority is delegated. They are empowered to manage and contribute to the organization.
The point I&rsquo;m making is to stay informed, it&rsquo;s your money,&nbsp; your livelihood, and your future.
Let&rsquo;s talk about Artificial Intelligence tools. I say tools because that&rsquo;s what they are. There are a plethora of &ldquo;GPTs&rdquo; to choose from for anything you need. There are software programs that can remember you, be familiar with your style of work, your conversation style, familiar with past tasks. &ldquo;GPTs&rdquo; are about efficiency. The time you save from using them is astronomical. 
One example is for professional emails in your business. Our Banquet Manager at work who does many emails a day says ChatGPT4 allows him to be more productive, lets him spend more time with potential private event makers.
&nbsp; Another is writing quality newsletters. I know people who put their ideas and subjects into a &ldquo;GPT&rdquo; software program and ask for it to write a certain number of words in a certain style. I have done my ServerSamm60 tips and tricks with it for quite some time. I have been doing free weekly tips for food servers for over a year; I was having a hard time coming up with tips to give them. I used it as an example once for my newsletter on Substack and posted a conversation I had with Bing.
I know people who have used these &ldquo;GPTs&rdquo; to write a business document for them, a How-To eBook, marketing advertisements and so much more.
My go-to is Claude2 because of the familiarity that builds in time and can seem like having a conversation with an old friend. The style of the output is like mine and even how I am in conversation seems to come through now. I&rsquo;ve used Perplexity mostly for tips and tricks and some generated ideas for articles and video content. 
Artificial tools used in art are spectacular. It is all in the prompting. Artists input their ideas, their vision until they receive the image they desire. I use different art apps that use artificial tools to restyle a picture, and reconfigure a drawing. There&rsquo;s Dalle-2, MidJourney and the Adobe ones (PhotoLeap, MotionLeap) and a few more. I use Storyz, MidJourney, ReStyle, and the Adobes.
Artificial tools in healthcare. In healthcare, you have virtual assistants, different prognoses software (as in preemptive, can generate what could happen if you continue down the health habits or bad health habits), and smart technology. Smart technology is the Ring I have on my finger. It has a NFC chip (near field communication) that computes my heart rate, oxygen level, stress level, activity level, and sleep patterns. Imagine you are in a hospital where they are taking your vitals all hours of the day and night multiple times in a 24 hour period and you have an NFC chip wristband connected to an app on their phone that once tapped sends accurate information back to their records. 
I only talked about a few examples that Artificial Intelligence tools are being used and will be used in the near future. I think it useful to understand, and be informed of what&rsquo;s happening and will be happening.&nbsp; 
Let&rsquo;s talk Metaverse, the all-encompassing buzzword that&rsquo;s thrown around for Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and Extended Reality. I have written about Roblox before and how generations are brought up in these &ldquo;worlds&rdquo; they create.
There is now digital twinning, an exact replica in 3D that you can immerse yourself in as your office from work, college class, a business workshop, or a meeting. 
Imagine becoming a doctor and while in school using virtual reality to learn how to perform a procedure. The firefighter learning virtually. Experiencing the sensation of running into a fire without running into a fire. Experiencing heightened emotions, and anxiety too.
Travel using Virtual Reality, feel like you are swimming with dolphins, walking up the Eiffel Tower, and more.
Picture yourself in an empty room. There is a television on the wall with a console underneath. You put on a headset and are immersed in a completely different environment, but you still have the television and console in your view. That is Augmented Reality. Also, there are three types of Augmented Reality. Augmented Reality on markers; for images, location-based (with GPS), and surface based called world tracking.
Extended Reality is, you guessed it, a combination of artificial and real environments. It is intended to combine or mirror the physical world with a &ldquo;digital twin world&rdquo; able to interact with it.

I wanted to update you on not only what&rsquo;s happening with technology, cryptocurrency, and the world but also what Onboard60 is embarking on. I have entered the world of Spatial and Oncyber. 
On Spatial, I created the Onboard60 Auditorium, a virtual space, where I have live chats, expert speakers, and travel portals (spaces of different environments).&nbsp; Travel portals enable experiential learning. If you are new to this technology, using the controls to walk and move about can be somewhat difficult. I spent 4 hours in a chair because I didn&rsquo;t know how to optimize the controls. A friend graciously took me on an experience of a lifetime through travel portals, allowing me to experience Spatial and get me to where I am today. 
I&rsquo;ve also created the Onboard60 Gallery on Spatial. It&rsquo;s the place where we have social meetups, Onboard60 members display their art and NFTs. A networking space to make long-lasting connections.
On Oncyber, I created a space of my photos, AI art and NFTs with videos introducing people to the Metaverse and more. I have pertinent questions displayed for the purposes of research and self-education. I also answer What is an NFT.

I touched upon monetary systems, GPTs, AI tools and the Metaverse. I do see this as what reality may look like soon. People are already acclimating and adapting, just like we did when the internet came into our homes. It&rsquo;s just a matter of time and we all know time doesn&rsquo;t stand still, it moves forward, as we should.
It is useful to take a moment or two, maybe five minutes a day to learn one or some of these tools for your future. I started with five minutes a day and I am here. You can be here too, you are worth five minutes a day.

Sunday the 17th of September, 2023.
Today is when families from all around the world get together and celebrate Rosh Hashona, the Jewish New Year. Naturally, I was looking forward to getting together with my mother (87 years old), sister (65 years old), niece (42 years old), her wife(43 years old), and my great-niece, their ten-year-old daughter. Four generations around the dinner table.
If you have been following me for a while, you know, at 62 years old, I am an avid learner of new technologies, the future, and beyond. I attempt to stay in the know and dive down different rabbit holes that pertain to all things in today's tech and social media to share with others who also want to stay a part of today's society and connect with their families in this digital and immersive world.
This week my dive went deep down the Roblox rabbit hole; the good, the bad, and the ugly. I had just posted my Substack blog titled The Darkside of Roblox hours before getting together with my family. My niece, 42 years old, mom of the ten-year-old Roblox-obsessed daughter, sent me a text as I was on the way to her house. It said, "can't wait to see you, loved your Roblox post."&nbsp;
Naturally, I thought, fabulous, she follows my blog, and wow, that was fast! I also assumed she was seeing things from the perspective of the informed parent. I was mistaken. Here's an excerpt that I thought she was referring to....
Robux, the currency used within the Roblox world costs dollars,real dollars, the credit card parents give to their children. It can add up quickly.
And another excerpt....
If there aren't parental controls on who can chat, enter your child's chatroom, it could be anyone on the other end of the computer.
And&nbsp; this last one.....
If there aren't time limits enforced by parents, children can spend hours immersed in virtual worlds.
I cherry-picked these excerpts from the blog because I see my niece as a responsible parent. A parent in the know of technology and proactive in using parental blocks with her daughter. Her daughter is the second generation of our family growing up with a device, the internet, the world wide web, from the beginning of her life. My niece was the first. I assumed my niece was a parent whose experience growing up with devices gave her an edge over parenting a pre-teen who just "had to play" the Adopt Me game when she was younger. She has now moved on to Dragon Slayer and Obbys, different virtual worlds Roblox offers.
The first thing my niece said, when I entered the house was, you got to talk to my child, she doesn't listen to me about Roblox, you're the cool aunt, she'll listen to you. In shock, I said, it is all about parental controls, you got parental controls? She said, yes, yes but she always wants to play over anything else. I said she's ten and has been playing for years, it's parental controls.&nbsp;
&nbsp;
I suprised myself at how easy I held the conversation about Roblox with my great-niece. We discussed which worlds she liked. We talked about her purchase of accessories for the two homes she created and how many pets she has traded along with needing Roblox gift cards for her birthday which is October 31st.&nbsp;
&nbsp;I asked if she developed any worlds and she said yes. Her mother said she went to a Roblox camp this summer (a computer hackathon consisting of adult developers teaching children how to develop virtual worlds) but hasn't really done much with it.
&nbsp;I asked her if she has made any money on Roblox and the answer was no. My niece stated firmly that the only money she makes is when "we give her our credit card to purchase Robux." I then asked if my great-niece bought any outfits for her pets or accessories for her avatar which she replied yes. She described a jacket she had recently bought, a digital virtual jacket with Robux.&nbsp;
I then asked the only question I was interested in. I asked "do you have live chats with your friends?" My great-niece's demeanor changed, she kept looking at her mother and saying she doesn't allow me to have live chats. I knew, this ten-year-old has cracked the parental controls and minimum has live texts with her circle of friends. It was a gut feeling. Soon after, the conversation went to fairies, Taylor Swift, and the Barbie movie.

When dinner was over and my great-niece retreated to her bedroom, I waited the appropriate amount of time a child would need to get on their iPad and then entered her bedroom. She quickly turned her screen to sleep mode and then I was sure.&nbsp;
I didn't mention anything in particular but I did say&nbsp; I know you know I know and left it at that. I said I trust you know who you're talking to and if you feel uncomfortable you would stop and let your mom know or me. She shook her head and abruptly said, you didn't say hi to my cat. That was the extent of the initial conversation with a ten-year-old on internet safety.
That was also my initial encounter with a child whose life has been deeply entrenched in the digital world and for the past few years in the virtual worlds of Roblox. I mention the "past few years" in reference to millions of children exponentially being immersed due to COVID, the pandemic. It intensified and sped up the progression of internet usage in immersive worlds. I couldn't help but watch as she was putting up a protective wall, drawing a line, as a pre-teen girl does. No one was going to get between her and her friends.&nbsp;
I can remember spending long hours on the phone with my friends talking about nothing, only to call a few hours later to do it all over again. I would protect those conversations at all costs. I would sit in my bedroom closet so no one in the house could listen in; like anyone was even paying attention to me on the phone at 12 years old. I can imagine the live texts or chats my great-niece has with her friends are along those lines.&nbsp;
My concern is, that she has broken through the parental controls and has access to permissions that she may not understand the possible outcomes or consequences.&nbsp;
My blog, The Darkside of Roblox, touched upon the subject of parental controls and other observations I had diving down the rabbit hole. I asked my niece if she understood Roblox is all about children developing virtual worlds. The end game is billions of dollars in profit for Roblox. I stated children are using real dollars to pay for their games to get seen on popular searches within Roblox. Marketing 101. There are over 200 million virtual worlds, and games, so it can get expensive. There are children making money but see a small percentage of profit, the rest goes back to Roblox.&nbsp;
In the blog, I discussed how children can easily get fleeced by more experienced or older children while attempting to purchase accessories, like the jacket my great-niece recently purchased, from the Avatar Shop. The prices can get pricey; the negotiations can be brutal.
My Darkside observations included the time children spend immersed in Roblox virtual worlds. I wrote that it's the parental controls that make the difference between a child enjoying or being addicted to Roblox. I compared the fact that adults are similar in their time spent on social media. I mentioned TikTok, Instagram and Twitter (X).

I can imagine conversations like these all around the world today. Multi-generational families celebrate the New Year with children immersed in their iPads. I am curious about the statistics, and the metrics of Roblox today. I wonder how deep down the Roblox rabbit hole other families have gone and do they know the Darkside of Roblox?&nbsp;
This is the part I could not make up. My mother is forgetful and repeats herself a lot. There are lucid and not-so-lucid times.&nbsp; &nbsp;It appeared my mother, 87 years old, in a lucid state, held a coherent conversation with me about the explosion of the senior citizen population today and an experience she had when she was my age, 20+ years ago. My mother was an educator for the Certified Emergency Response Team in our city. She trained volunteers in basic disaster response skills. When she and many of the other instructors were getting older, my age, they had to find younger people, most in their late 30s, or early 40s, to become educators. She stated it was a difficult task to find young people but there were enough young people interested enough to carry on.
She discussed that she plays computer brain games to keep sharp and regularly is on the phone with family members. She said that the population is just getting older and more and more senior citizens are going to live longer. She said the younger generations need to step up and get hold of what's happening with the computers. She stated it was her stubbornness that kept her alive. I believe it.&nbsp;
In comparison, at that moment, it seems my mother is more attuned to what's happening in the world than my sister and niece, two generations behind. I wondered how many households around the world were listening to their grandmothers or great-grandmothers speak on this very subject.&nbsp; I couldn't help but wonder how many of the 30-somethings and the forty-somethings were keeping up with what's happening in the world today.&nbsp;
My blog was about my deep dive down the Roblox rabbit hole. After my family got together, the rabbit hole went in a direction I could never have imagined. This rabbit hole is focused on how multi-generations connect with new technologies to better the quality of life for senior citizens and their families.&nbsp;&nbsp;
I am grateful for the time I spent with my family today. It was eye-opening, to say the least. As an avid learner of new technologies, the future, and beyond, I trust my great-niece's generation will create a world beyond our wildest dreams.&nbsp;

Yesterday I posted a blog on Substack called The Darkside of Roblox hours before I went to a family dinner where 4 generations were attending. This is the experience with my family. My experiences are my own. You cannot make this up! I was in shock and stunned as the day went on. I can imagine these conversations happening all across the world, especially today.

This is my personal experience working The Artist's Way workbook, results may vary.
&nbsp;
Do you let other people into your inner world? Do you accept compliments or brush them off with a negative comment? Everyone has a public persona, a family persona, and their inner persona. The inner persona is where the work begins with The Artist's Way. Do you care enough about yourself to look deep within, even to the darkest corners, and allow yourself to let go and heal?
I wasn't sure if I cared enough. I was so used to being stuck and comfortable even though it was self-destructive. My self-destructiveness manifests in many ways but the end results keep me stuck where I am with the false sense of security. I had years of resentment built up. I had perceptions of others within my family that I had for years, not seeing them for who they are now. I stayed stuck in distant relationships, not allowing people to get too close, keeping a self-made wall that I could run behind when scared. I wouldn't allow others to love me. I would brush it off and say, if you only knew me you wouldn't love me. I didn't love myself enough to let myself feel the joy and intimacy of love.
I rationalized that it would be difficult to dig deep at my age, and why change now? I came up with excuses to stay miserable, stay stuck, and not allow my inner creative self to shine. I wasn't good enough, I don't deserve it, etc. The fear of change, growth, and knowing the results kept me behind my self-made wall. The results of fulfilling relationships, accepting love from others ( really letting it in), and being content in life were the results I was afraid of. I didn't know how to do that.
I desperately needed The Artist's Way in all areas of my life. I desperately wanted to change.
&nbsp;I was an adolescent and family counselor, went to school for it, and even got a master's in nonprofit. I had become the do as I say, not as I do. I told myself doctors don't operate on themselves and I don't need The Artist's Way self-help workbook, it wouldn't be useful to counsel myself. Unbeknownst to me, that's exactly what I needed. Years ago, close to 30, I came across The Artist's Way and thought it would be useful for my clients, not me. I did peruse the book and did some of the exercises, however, due to mistaken beliefs and where I was at in that stage of my life, I skipped over most of the exercises and tasks and selectively did what was comfortable. It was useful for you, not me.
I have heard when you are sick and tired of being sick and tired, you will do what's necessary to change. I was exhausted. I was sick and tired of the same scenarios creeping into all my relationships with the common denominator being me. I was sick and tired of pulling people close only to push them away. I was sick and tired of being aware of all these behaviors and cyclical patterns and having misery and loneliness as my payoff. In the counseling world, we call that dysfunctional.&nbsp;
I had taken on so many layers of protection, like an onion, it was time to peel away each one and allow my inner creative self to shine. I started and haven't looked back. My fear of connecting, being loved, giving love was coming to an end. I have been stating affirmations on a regular basis for years but not letting them past the surface. It was time to get clean and clear from within. It was time to let my creative self out.
I also have heard, that when you're ready, the teacher will appear. The Artist's Way workbook was suggested by a friend and I couldn't say no. As I said, I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. It was time to work The Artist's Way workbook. The interesting part is that there are a few people that I know from a business group working The Artist's Way workbook too. I say that because I being behind my wall in the beginning thought, how nice and grr, they gonna want to share.
I started chapter 1 determined to be brutally honest with myself, dig deep, and not share any of it. As I continued, I realized I needed support and to share the process I was going through. I just finished chapter 5 and hosted a Twitter (x) space all about The Artist's Way.&nbsp; Onboard60 Real Talk Twitter (X) space was now Onboard60 The Artist's Way Space.&nbsp;
How did I get here?
I read and did each exercise and all the tasks to the best of my ability. I started with my core negative beliefs. They come from my parents, my culture, and the friends I grew up around. The AHA moment was reading that these are beliefs, not facts. I have taken on these mistaken beliefs as my values and how I saw myself. I took them and wore them as layers over layers of my creative self. Those beliefs were who I became. As a counselor,&nbsp; I remember hearing you are what you learn, and what you learn has consequences. The consequences are who I became. I was told I wasn't capable when I was a child. I grew up believing I wasn't capable. I took that mistaken negative belief further to I wasn't capable of being a part of society. That one core mistaken negative belief snowballed into so many more negative beliefs. Those became who I thought I was going to be for the rest of my life. They became how I saw myself and I acted accordingly.
I am doing a reset of my values and who I am. I am allowing my inner creative self to come out. There's an exercise in The Artist's Way called an "Artist Date". You take yourself on a date that is creative in nature. I&nbsp; paint, draw, go to the beach and make sand castles, take photos, and write in my journal. These dates have me being kind to the child within, the one who initially took on all those negative mistaken beliefs. I am healing from within by doing these exercises.&nbsp;
Another exercise from The Artist's Way is morning pages. That is brain-dumping first thing upon waking up. I have to admit, the morning pages were not fun in the beginning because I had so much hurt and resentment to get out, the layer of armor that protected the child within was coming off. I have been doing the healing work of The Artist's Way for 5 weeks, I just completed chapter 5. I feel somewhat naked, vulnerable with some fear. I am determined not to go back behind my self-made wall. I am determined to finish this workbook and be open to letting love in and loving others.&nbsp;
Chapter 5 was examining my own self-destructive patterns and asking myself "What was my payoff for staying stuck in those behaviors?". What was my end game hanging onto these negative mistaken beliefs? This chapter has been all about owning that, yes, I have these negative mistaken beliefs and I can let them go, work on them step by step, and replace them with healthy ones.&nbsp;
&nbsp;I have a lot more work to do. I am not resisting it.
&nbsp;This process has been a long time coming. I am doing self-care exercises that are becoming habits, affirmations becoming values, I am letting people into my world, I'm connecting with others, and I even have a real friend. Someone who when I pushed away came back even harder and said, "You are loveable". It's been a difficult thing to stay open and allow the friendship to grow, however, now, I wouldn't have it any other way. I no longer want to be stuck. I am working on accepting compliments and recognizing my creative self is fabulous and deserves love, positivity, and growth. As the saying goes, let's f**king grow, let's flow gold, LFG.

It was a breakthrough, like &ldquo;I should have had a V-8.&rdquo; If you know that reference, you understand the doorway I opened to understanding the different applications of AI. I admit when I initially completed the research, I felt like a super prompt engineer, that I was ready to tackle ChatGPT4, DALLE, and Midjourney. The overwhelming fears were gone as I wrote notes as fast as I could. I still write out notes, however, I left paper behind and use The Remarkable tablet, it feels like you&rsquo;re writing but it&rsquo;s a tablet with integration capabilities. I can download files and upload what I&rsquo;ve written. I still have notebooks and journals but The Remarkable is a fabulous way to write. The applications of AI are endless. I know the basics of prompt engineering for all the fore-mentioned sites. I am reeling from how simple project engineering is once you understand the basics of prompting. Come along for the ride for exclusive how to use prompts. What is a prompt? It is instructions you input into the computer. A prompt can be a simple question. The results can be a long or short summary answer to the question. The specificity is what results in the most accurate results desired. In simple terms, you want to be clear and specific, making your question or statement easy to understand. Also put in enough information for the AI to return the response you want. You don&rsquo;t want to add extra information that doesn&rsquo;t pertain to the subject. Keep it short and to the point, be concise. Be clear in the information without flowering it up. You can have AI ask you questions to get more exact information and you can also ask it open-ended questions. Rather than asking questions that result in a yes or no, open-ended questions can result in a more detailed and specific response. Avoid entering your opinions. Your biases can lead the AI to a particular response. Being neutral can elicit more objective answers. Prompts can be for information, asking questions like &ldquo;What is AI?&rdquo; This is a vague question that will bring a long summary which you may be reading for hours. You might start by asking it to outline What AI is in four categories. The results are specific and easy to decipher in moving forward with a particular blog or short statement. Prompts used in the art applications are like the text type of AI with results being images. There are detailed values and commands that can be entered for the desired results. Deep Dive into AI & Prompts

<a href="Where are You Going to be in Three Years? What is it going to be like in ten years? I wonder what it&rsquo;s going to be like in three. The way technology is accelerating at the speed of light, I wonder if I can keep up. That thought kept me stuck, frozen in time and not take any action to move forward. Who are you? I use AI with some of my art and I have been for quite some time. I have used ChatGPT to revise, polish my resume and executive summary of Onboard60 but besides that, not much else. I know how to use these things, but I have trepidation. I fear that the work produced is not authentic, not my own, no heart. I wonder if the things I see on others&rsquo; posts were generated or are original. Is it ethical to sell something you produced with the assistance of ChatGPT? Is it even considered your work. I&rsquo;m perplexed at a lot of the things happening now and wonder what it will be like in the future. Am I leaving myself behind? Is my resistance futile? Will my fears keep me from moving forward? People who know me know that I am computer challenged, my skills lacking. At 62 years old, it&rsquo;s not the lack of computer skills that stop me but my senior citizen mindset, old mistaken beliefs, fears of what I don&rsquo;t understand. I am challenged almost daily conquering some new skill or attempting to comprehend what&rsquo;s happening in the world today. I continue to climb the molehills of mountains and invariably get frustrated or throw tantrums, but I always get to the other side with a new skill or understanding of what&rsquo;s happening. I may take a break for a moment but always go back to the lesson or new skill and reach the other side successfully. I want to be able to know how to use digital transactions for money, get the healthcare I need on chain and take care of myself. I grew up watching the internet devolve from decentralized networks to centralized. I believe the evolution of the internet; the new monetary systems becoming mainstream. I believe in decentralization to take back control of what we see online and what information we allow others to see. I believe in transparency. I am on what is considered Web 2 platforms and some Web 3 platforms, some fully decentralized and some hybrid. It takes considerable effort to learn some of the newer ones. I was frustrated at first but over time I am adapting. Adapting is the goal. I hope people see my journey and take matters into their own hands and learn too. I know I will adapt to the new ways of the internet, ChatGPT and AI. I have no choice. Learn or get left behind. The battle is with my senior citizen mindset I spoke of earlier. It is a battle that I wish for no one. There are days I am open minded and easily learn new skills to thrust forward. There are days I am unable to comprehend the words coming out of other people&rsquo;s mouths. I sit in Twitter Spaces and think I know a few things when hearing people speak of something I learned a month ago. I sit in some not understanding what they talk about. I have moments when I want to walk away and be blissfully ignorant. I don&rsquo;t have it in me to walk away. I have a purpose; I am compelled to continue. I created Onboard60 in hopes others would join and have the desire to learn. It has been said that we are early. I think I am ahead of my time. There are few senior citizens who want to hear what I have to say, however, there are plenty of 35ish and older people who seem interested. My internal battle rages on while I consistently show up, read what&rsquo;s happening in today&rsquo;s world and continue learning on new platforms. Sometimes I wonder if we were meant to care about stranger&rsquo;s plight on the internet. We get close and concerned about their lives, their struggles and celebrate their joys. We develop relationships. It takes balance and finesse to stay engaged with the people in our reality while developing friendships with &ldquo;strangers&rdquo;. Some of the relationships I have developed with people from the internet are more meaningful and heartfelt than some of the ones I have in real life. Sometimes I immerse myself into research and get overwhelmed in what I&rsquo;m reading, it can be too much, scary at times. The frustration of not understanding how to use a new media, not having the engagement I was used to from older media, can feel insurmountable. There are times I want to just say &ldquo;stop the world, I want to get off.&rdquo; This was one of those weeks. I told a friend who I met on the internet all my trepidations, my fears and the desire to unplug you might say. They were there, listening and giving me suggestions that were practical, what I needed to hear. They started out as strangers on the internet who have developed into a true friend. They helped me get down off the ledge so to speak. They let me see I needed to take care of me, take a break. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would gain such friendships from the internet. I am grateful for the ones I have. The struggles with my senior citizen mindset have dissipated and I&rsquo;m ready to do what&rsquo;s necessary. I am focusing on me. I can&rsquo;t be the be all for everyone and on all the media twenty-four seven, seven days a week. I must find balance so I can continue with Onboard60 and grow the project to where it will be in the future. In three years or ten, I will look back knowing this was all worth it. I know the struggle is real and will come up again because I am a senior citizen with the senior citizen mindset. Where Will You Be In Three Years?

As I dive into different rabbit holes, one thing is clear, everything intertwines. Web 2 technologies and Web3 technologies combined catapult us into the world we are experiencing today and what we can only imagine for tomorrow. I am learning different medias and want to share what’s happening with you, as I understand things.

I will admit I’ve spread myself thin. Who knew I’d be in the thick of decentralized social medias along with all the older medias I post content on. I could list them all but that would end up being the whole blog, really, no, seriously.

Besides keeping up with the tasks I do for Onboard60 and Server Samm, I have been slammed at the restaurant on a nightly basis now for a solid week. By Monday morning, I was spent. All I could do was hold the phone up in front of my face and do a TikTok stating that I was taking the day off. And I did.

I was so drained that all I could muster was one google meet and a day vegetating on the beach. My initial steps into the cool, clear water were magical, the ocean never looked and felt so perfect. The waves were dancing forcefully and gently simultaneously towards me.

I welcomed the refreshing crash of water against my body, I let go. I stood in the ocean looking out towards the crisp cobalt blue horizon with the closer sky-blue water swaying in the distance.

The occasional commercial fishing boat, you know the ones. They take you and your friends out for the afternoon. You eat, drink, laugh, listen to good music and sometimes catch fish. The one kite boarder taking advantage of the strong winds out in the distance gliding ever so gracefully.

This day, beach day, was what I needed, the self-care guaranteed to heal anything that needed healing. I was relaxed, felt at peace and ready to organize myself for the week.

 

I do admit it’s been an adventure with lots of trepidation learning these new medias. I’m not on some of my usual platforms that have thousands of followers as much as I have been. One, Twitter, I barely go on except for the occasional space. I will tweet good morning sometimes but mostly like others who tweet. I post the occasional funny fubar of the day and the cat pictures on Saturdays. I seem to not engage in the thick of the Web3 - Crypto world on Twitter.

I seem to gravitate to Lenster, Orb, Phaver, Damus (Nostr), Geneva and Entre. All of these medias are geared towards monetizing posts. Lenster collects (buying a post) becomes an NFT. My domain name, my Lens account, is an NFT. I have offers regularly to buy it.

On Phaver you stake tokens on posts you like; this platform has not monetized the coins, so you get 5 free coins a day to stake. It is connected to Lens, most on Phaver have a Lens account but not all on Phaver do, it is connected to the Lens ecosystem. Orb doesn’t have coins but has other benefits as you can listen to music videos. it is also connected to Lens. All three interact as all your post go to all three platforms. I do not have all the same followers on each platform, some I have more than others and some are on two or three. The exposure of one post all across the Lens ecosystem is different than what you have with Twitter, not to mention the monetization.

Damus, the Nostr social media has zaps you can send, actual satoshis, money to people’s post. There is also music, live “spaces” on current events and you can post pictures and videos, encrypted, I might add.

Lenster, similar to Twitter, works best on the computer, not on the phone. People can mirror (retweet) or collect (buy) your post. You can also sell your posts. You can have a referral fee (%) paid to someone who mirrors & or collects/ mirror your posts to encouraging reposts. As I said your one post goes out on all platforms.

Onboard60 TikTok has become time consuming for me. Once I gained 26K followers the week of March 14,2023, seemingly overnight, I wasn’t sure the direction to take.

I stopped the consistent good morning videos, they just became too much but after 1 solid year, it served its initial purpose. I started doing the good morning videos so I would get out of bed, that’s it, it was my motivation to wake up and get moving.

For the longest I did educational videos and also lip-syncing videos with messages on screen to match the songs or contrast them. I would do the occasional news type style TikTok. I slipped away from sharing what was happening, sharing my journey, the joys, stuck points, frustrations and accomplishments. I think it’s time to bring those back.

The Onboard60 account has had no direction since March 14, 2023, my viral Rocky Horror Picture Show TikTok, my angry response to someone commenting, questioning my sexuality. That video catapulted my account to a different category, and I haven’t had the desire to start a new account (as I was advised by this TikTok god). I have been flailing posting random things, all over the place really with stabs to getting back on track.

My YouTube Shorts channel, Web3 For Seniors may have 20 subscribers but no views. After posting Web3 vocabulary and the educational videos, about 80, over the last 9 months, I started posting random videos on the channel.

During this time, I discovered LensTube. A decentralized YouTube with potential of monetizing my content. It was my chance to post content I wanted, my art (altered photos), the moon, the ocean for no reason, no message, no educational value, just fabulous freeing fun videos and get paid. I have been gravitating to LensTube more and more. The videos people post are fabulous, interesting, and beautiful. The music videos are great too.

Lensport is the marketplace for the videos, videos that are NFTs, for sale. Yeah! My posts, some videos that I put a price on with the collect option can earn money on the Lensport marketplace. It’s just another site to make money on social media naturally, just by being you and posting stuff. Inter-connectedness.

 

I do need to get back to a quasi-routine and a structure for posting on TikTok. I am formulating what I need to do and will use TikTok in a more useful way for both the Onboard60 and the Server Samm accounts.

It is what it is. In some areas I’m far in front and in others I’m just beginning, and in other areas I’m way behind. What’s new, right?

All Things Media, New & "Old"

The most ironic thing happened today. I met a man, 72 years old, younger than me it appeared. And I did what so many others have done to me:  ageism. Yes, I said the phrases that I hear on a regular basis. You look good at your age. You are amazing. I also told him that he validated who I am today, and who I want to be tomorrow. In 10 years’ time, I want to be more like him. He was relaxed in his own skin. I don't know how to explain that, but it was a joy spending the evening with him.

 I've had women 70 years old say you are so young. You have a long life ahead of you. I also have had 20-year-olds say I am amazing, and I look good at my age. So, it was not lost on me standing in front of the 72-year-old man and saying those same comments.

Over the last year people have called me many names but this most recent has made me take a step back. I realize that I have created a curriculum that is well-rounded on topics of what’s happening today, along the new technologies and now what can be seen as the basics:  NFT's, blockchain, and smart contracts.

The social media genre is changing. At one time a like, comment or follow was the norm. Now, I regularly engage on social media accounts that potentially pay me for my posts, my content. Soon Twitter will give people the option for followers to subscribe.

 I engage on social media that are somewhat futuristic to some. They are open sourced, decentralized. I’m meeting some astounding people from all over the world and feel like I’m learning every post I read. The engagement is off the chain, seriously, it’s on chain.

The name I’ve been called lately is  a futurist. I never saw myself that way until now. I have dived deep down into the rabbit hole of Web 3 principles, values, and ways of being. With social media, I have been sending crypto buying posts, sending pennies as in diamonds and zaps, I’ve mirrored, staked coins, and there’s even farther for me to dive.

My curriculum has taken me from NFTs to blockchain, multi-chain, regenerative finances, augmented reality, tokenomics, cryptocurrency, ChatGPT, metaverse basics, decentralized finance, ai, decentralized social media, and current events of what’s happening around the world. I don’t consider myself a futurist.

I am in between really, futuristic actions with some areas of my life, some areas I am behind, way behind. I am a dichotomy really, not a futurist. I may be ahead of some people in this so-called Web 3 space, but I am so far behind so many more that I keep learning from every day.

I don’t know how people learn how to use all these different platforms?  The one I got on recently and published a blog for the first time was Substack. Since Revue stopped on Twitter, I ceased writing my weekly blog, newsletter, sharing of what’s happening, my behind the scenes, my joys, stuck points and accomplishments. I see Substack as a viable way to reconnect with those who signed up on Revue.

Substack platform has an option for subscriptions, and I thought, a good platform to practice writing free content and content behind a paywall. I have not asked for a subscription base before and being the first time, I think I clicked on all the right buttons and hope that I can adjust as time goes on, meaning, change the mistakes while  learning what I’m doing.

I’m not sure if I succeeded with my first publication on Substack, I know that I need to do some changes with the look and most likely change the name, it’s Sandra’s Substack right now, that says something about Onboard60.

I share all of this because that is the most recent example of how I join accounts or  media platforms and I am unsure how to use them once I get them. I put myself through hard times  and frustration. I eventually learn what I’m doing. I do think it’s important to learn these different publication platforms and social medias because they will be our bridge of communication as people live on the internet.

All these medias are so new, they seem complicated but they aren’t, you just got to learn how to use them. I’ve found with practice and perseverance, I conquer the platform and I do the best I can with the information I have.

 

One habit that I have is jumping into something, in signing up, creating accounts, and forgetting either I created the account altogether or not writing down the seed phrase and not remembering the passwords. Over the last year I have multiple cryptocurrency wallets, social media accounts, and personal accounts that you can write and publish blogs.

It appears that initially I understand the purpose of these accounts, and my ideal outcome from these accounts but not the “how to use some of these”. The cryptocurrency wallets especially. Before I knew what a mainnet was, I signed into two different protocols. I bought their tokens/cryptocurrency on their mainnet site. One was before I understood what a seed phrase was and when the random words came on the screen, my actual thought was that's weird these words don't even match and there sure is a lot of them. I remember thinking how and why random words are even part of a wallet. Sadly, I am being serious, I say sadly because I now know how important a seed phrase is. I kept all mine under a refrigerator magnet for the longest until I learned I needed to put them in one central safe location. I collected them all off my refrigerator door and placed them in a drawer, thinking I was knowledgeable and doing the right thing. I’m not sure what happened to them and where they are now because I can’t remember which drawer and I’ve searched them all.

I am learning how to navigate the Web 3 space and I share what I learn when I learn it. Some days I am smoothly learning and other days not so much, today was eh. One thing for sure is I am in the thick of it and will not get left behind Life’s too short to ignore what’s happening because it truly is the end of the world as we know and, I will be fine, will you?

Thoughts of Senior Citizen 

GMGMGM as they say on Twitter and throughout the Web3 social medias. I share what I learn as I go on this journey down multiple rabbit holes in hopes that others will join me. When I say others, I am speaking to other senior citizens. I created Onboard60 for senior citizens, like me, to have a safe place to learn, ask questions, get connected with other like minded people. Since the creation of Onboard60 Home and Web3 Studyor on Geneva app a few months ago, I have had people join to support me and or  are curious or beginning their journey before moving on. It has been a learning experience. Most Tuesdays and Fridays at 10 a.m. EST sharp,  I sit in the chat rooms alone. At first, I was upset, wondering what was wrong with me. Then, I realized I have built something unique. Most people would rather sit in a large space than an intimate one, have anonymity in the overwhelming newness of Web3 and all the rabbit holes we fall down.

 I also realized the majority of people came to Web3 in the promise of making money. That’s never been my purpose. I don’t offer “how to make money” yet. I am building a multi faceted project for senior citizens to learn, experience the MetaVerse, to connect and engage with their families. It’s not exciting yet. When I offer the “money” portions of the project and people see they can earn/make money while engaging with family and others,  it might become appealing. 

Sadly, that is the way people are, most of them, anyway. I always liked Unicorns, never considered myself one but here I sit. I seem to be moving forward in decentralized medias before a lot of people in my circle of Web3 frens. I have exponentially more engagement on those Dapps, and meeting people who seem more like minded, looking towards decentralization as the goal rather than  focused on the money. 

I realize the fear of going from thousands of followers to a few, as I have over 6K on Twitter and 27k on TikTok. However, the real conversations, building relationships are what’s important to me. I did it years ago on Twitter and can do it on Lenster, Orb, Phaver, DeSo, Entre and others. I already have over 200 subscribers on LensTube compared to 20 on my Web3 for Seniors channel on YouTube (Shorts) in half the time. People actually watch the videos, comment and like, even re-post. 

I mention all of the above to say, if you consider yourself someone in Web3, maybe educating others, it’s time to experience the future of Web3 now. I was ecstatic to see Zentaurios embrace DeSo and vibehut.io. Life in forward motion is what it’s all about. I believe in experiential learning, not just read articles and parrot the information to others but experience what you learn.

 Yes, I was a counselor for many years utilizing experiential learning as a technique with my clients and now live it in my daily life. It is a technique to be practiced. It is one that gets you out of your comfort zone and makes you vulnerable. I have asked for help many times, been overwhelmed and feeling uncomfortable. It’s the price I pay as someone who put myself in the position to share with others what’s happening in today’s new world.

Another technique I will mention is the 5-minute technique. I started learning 5 minutes a day of vocabulary pertinent to Web3. The 5-minute technique can be used in so many areas of your life. I use it when I feel overwhelmed after going down a rabbit hole. I take 5 minutes to wallow in my frustration or fear and then take action whether it’s asking for help or attempting to break down the information into smaller sections so that I can eventually understand what I’m learning. I also use the 5-minute technique when I’ve accomplished something, I enjoy the feeling of accomplishment and the gratitude that comes with it. Before I get too full of myself, I relish in the moment and move forward. The 5-minute technique serves me well. If you’re new to Web3, it may be a useful technique for you too.

Today’s new world is an understatement. Big corporations owning and steering AI is just one of the new world order. AI is a useful tool for a plethora of things. It can be scary and some may obsess on the shiny new objects that are everywhere but they are useful. A co-worker uses AI for emails. I know people who use it to assist them in writing a book. There are so many ways to use AI that are beneficial for businesses and individuals. Full disclosure, “this writing  has not been generated by AI”. I see people stating that statement and it appears that statement may  become the norm in the future. 

Governments openly discussing cryptocurrencies is another radical difference in the world. Some discussions are useful, others not so much. Discussions and moving forward analyzing different monetary systems is a must. The current ways of banking cannot continue. Decentralization and regenerative finances are alternate solutions as we move forward, in my opinion.  

I also suggest to meet people in real life, go to Web3 events, Cryptocurrency conferences. I have met quite a few people who are now frens. I have sat in panels, listened to speakers and I have learned a lot. I was able to go and ask questions from the panels and speakers, get an understanding of where the world is heading. The information and connections have been priceless.

Early on, the in real life events help me formulate the future of Onboard60. There are still people who I go to and ask “is this a thing, or am I dreaming unrealistically?” the majority of the time they steer me to the right information or connect me with the right people. 

This writing is a journal, per say, to share what’s happening in my world. I said earlier I share what I’m learning. My lessons now are all about building the right relationships, curating my content and timelines, building my social currency. I do not believe we are early but we are right where we are supposed to be and  are moving forward with every step we take. Web3 may not be a reality yet but it is being built one day, one project, one protocol at a time.
