Love and Chaos: A Story Begins

Azure was a dragon of creation, born from the dust of the cosmos at the dawn of the universe. She had a beautiful blue and purple scales that shimmered like stars, and a pair of black eyes that sparkled with curiosity. She carried around her favorite pink and purple rose, the first flower she ever created, as a symbol of her love for life.

Azure had a special gift: she could create or heal anything with her magic. She used her power to spread beauty, joy, and life in the universe. She traveled from planet to planet, planting seeds of flowers and trees, making rivers and lakes, and filling the skies with clouds and rainbows. She loved to watch the planets grow and flourish under her care.

She also loved to talk about the life and the flowers she created. She would tell stories about how she discovered different types of flowers and their meanings, how she experimented with different colors and shapes, how she matched them with different environments and seasons. She would explain the science behind the photosynthesis, pollination, and reproduction of plants, as well as the symbolism and culture behind the floral art and language. She would share her passion and joy for creating life with anyone who would listen.

Azure was not alone in her journey. She had five friends who were also dragons of creation, each with their own gifts and personalities. They were Luminara, the rainbow unicorn; Fira, the royal Kira of fire; Glacio, the ice phoenix; Necromortus, the serpent of life and death; and Dracursus, the battle mage.

Luminara was a silver-coated unicorn with a rainbow mane and tail, blue eyes, hooves and horn. She could create or manipulate light and hope, and use them for various purposes. She was cheerful, optimistic, and friendly. She liked to make stars and suns, and to illuminate the dark places with her brightness.

Fira was a beautiful and persistent lady of fire with a fiery mane and red glowing eyes. She could create or control fire and heat, and use them for various purposes. She was passionate, gentle, and kind. She liked to make volcanoes and geysers, and to warm up the cold places with her heat.

Glacio was a majestic ice phoenix with white feathers and blue eyes. He could create or manipulate ice and water, and use them for various purposes. He was calm, wise, and gentle. He liked to make glaciers and snowflakes, and to cool down the hot places with his chill.

Necromortus was a serpent-like creature with scales, fangs, and glowing eyes. He wore a cloak of electricity. He could create or destroy life with a touch of his skin. He could also control the dead and communicate with spirits. He was cunning, ambitious, and ruthless. He liked to experiment with his powers of necromancy.

Dracursus was a chimera of a fierce-looking bear and dragon with glowing green eyes and a red glowing third eye. He had a celtic pattern webbing that glowed green like his eyes. He could create or destroy anything with his power. He was arrogant, rebellious, and violent. He liked to make storms and earthquakes, and to tear down what others had built with his fury.

Azure loved all her friends, but she had a special bond with Dracursus. He was her opposite in every way, but she saw something in him that no one else did. She saw his pain, his loneliness, his longing for acceptance. She saw his potential for good, his hidden kindness, his desire for love.

They met when they were young, when Azure was exploring a new planet that she had just created. She saw Dracursus flying in the sky, looking for something to destroy. She flew up to him and greeted him with a smile.

“Hello there,” she said. “What are you doing here?”

Dracursus looked at her with disdain. “Who are you?” he asked.

“I’m Azure,” she said. “I’m a dragon of creation.”

“Creation?” he sneered. “What a waste of power.”

He flew past her and aimed his claws at the planet below.

“What are you doing?” Azure asked.

“I’m going to destroy this pathetic planet,” he said. “It’s too boring and ugly.”

“Boring? Ugly?” Azure exclaimed. “But it’s full of life and beauty.”

She flew after him and blocked his way.

“Please don’t do this,” she said. “This planet is my work. I made it with love.”

Dracursus glared at her. “Your work? Your love?” he said. “What do you know about love? You’re just a naive fool who wastes your time on useless things.”

He pushed her aside and continued his attack.

Azure felt a surge of anger and sadness. She couldn’t let him destroy her planet. She gathered her magic and unleashed it at him.

“Stop it!” she shouted.

A blast of blue and purple energy hit Dracursus in the chest, sending him tumbling back.

He roared in pain and rage. He looked at Azure with shock and confusion.

He wanted to attack her, to make her pay for hurting him, but he also felt something else.

He felt a strange sensation in his chest, a warmth that spread through his body, a flutter in his heart.

He felt something he had never felt before.

He felt love.

That was how their story began.

 

***Note***This is a teaser story that is only part of the bigger overall story I am working on for my first official collection (Dedicated directly to my vision for non-profit). I am still working out details.
